Infections and Toxins - The Twin Drivers of Chronic Disease in the 21st Century
The illnesses which afflicted our grandparents are very different to those that keep people chronically sick nowadays. As I have discovered in clinical practice, the twin drivers of chronic disease in the 21st century are infections and toxins.
Infections and toxins have a huge adverse effect on how you feel. Chronic viral and bacterial infections are some of the biggest energy robbers around and can make you feel brain foggy, achey and fatigued. If people don’t attend to their underlying infections, they won’t make a full lasting recovery.
On top of this, the huge amount of environmental toxins we are all exposed to disable our immune systems and tip them out of balance. One arm of the immune system may be overactive, keeping us stuck in a cycle of inflammation. Another arm may be sleeping and needs waking up.
Things might look pretty complex with all of the above going on. Digestion doesn’t work properly, hormones are unbalanced, there may be nutritional deficiencies and much more. Simply addressing symptoms alone may give short-term relief but doesn’t bring lasting gain. If you don’t find out and address the underlying causes of your condition, it will keep coming back, no matter what treatments you do.
I am a Functional Medicine practitioner. As such, my job is to manage health, not illness. I created the E-book Seven Things That Keep You Chronically Sick to act as a guide to the underlying conditions that may not have been thought of or addressed in your chronic condition. If you can identify the factors that are keeping your symptoms present, you can then so something about them.
So, please use Seven Things That Keep You Chronically Sick as your roadmap to recovery. If you would like my help in your recovery journey, please contact the Good Health Clinic on goodhealthclinic@outlook.com.
I would love to help you break free of your symptoms and live a full life.
